Immortality

I have always thought of immortality, 

Of something that won't ever end. 

So that whatever I do today would carry some meaning even after times. 

. 

But now when i think about it, 

It feels like immortality may not be that good. 

You may outlive everything you desired

And what could be worse than loosing something which you loved. 

. 

Something is good and has value only because we know that someday it will all end, 

So we should enjoy every moment of it, 

Not with a hope that it will end but also not expecting it to last forever. 

. 

I am not completely convinced with either part of this.
